Tavillon Bois makes and lays tavillons (wood shingles) for any kind of roof and facade construction or renovation.
Designed from fine wood cut down in the winter, preferably during the last quarter of a waning moon, tavillons are made mainly of spruce from November to March. The tavillonneur's work, artisan in all aspects, is carried out in accordance with tradition. The advantage of tavillonnage is that it works in harmony with the irregularities in the wood.
Several types of wood are used for wood shingles: pine, larch and chestnut.
What we do:
All our work is carried in accordance with fire regulations and the charter of the French-speaking Swiss Association of Tavillonneurs (ART).
